   Mental health can impact memory decades later

Blogging.... I find it doesn't come naturally! Relaxing and rejuvenating.... on the other hand...

A brief trip South, with a smooth Autumnal drive down the A9. Granted that doesn't sound relaxing; but it was. 

Breakfast at #TheKitchen in Carrbridge was second to none. The backdrop of the Northern Corries sprinkled with icing sugar revealing a gouged landscape, ridges and rocky prominences sitting proud and ruggedly accentuated was picture perfect. That was in fabulous contrast to the ochres, russets, greens and brown hues of the lower changing landscape as we approach winter, more so as the clocks have gone back. So, travelling through my two favourite areas of Scotland; #NorthernCairngorms and #HighlandPerthshire was a delight.

Fast forward to the "Relax, Restore, Rejuvenate" (Mair 2017) element 😀. After scouting the Association of Reflexologists website; I found #perthreflexology, Fiona, MAR. Apart from intermittent self treatment, I felt I would benefit from a body re-balance. Whilst I agree that can be achieved in several ways, #reflexology treatment and that by a #MAR (Member of the Association of Reflexologists) qualified therapist is a good investment. From the off, I had a good vibe. It may partly have been boosted by the crisp, fresh (yes, towels), bright, colourful Autumnal Monday morning. 

Easy to find; easy to relax. I felt completely at home with Fiona and in her treatment area. Smiley, honest and professional. I had a couple of minor niggles which she detected. I had to laugh. I'd selected the relaxing balm - which with her moves (yes, it's a professional term we use) it did what it said on the tub.

Sometimes actions speak louder than words. That was the thinking behind Adam Walker doing a shoot of Absolute Therapy at work. The final product is only a minute long and introduces the services offered by Sonya. The emphases of this promotional video are professionalism, expertise and client care.

I wanted to share below, this comment from a client. I am very pleased that, in her words, she has expressed what her idea of what she thought reflexology might be like as well as her thoughts and experiences throughout the process. 

I once wrote "...more than a foot rub". Whether reflexology is merely a foot rub or, more than that is a point for discussion. What matters day to day, is that a reflexologist, as in one who is a Member of the Association of Reflexologists provides a full and comprehensive treatment whether following The Ingham Method, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and its Elements and or Acupressure.
